Here are four set plays from Boise State Head Coach Leon Rice. Rice just completed his 5th season at Boise State, where he has won 102 games to 63 losses. He has won 21 or more games in 4 out of 5 seasons with a career best 25 wins this past season. Rice came to Boise from Gonzaga where he served as an assistant coach from 1998 – 2010. Before that, Rice was an assistant coach at Yakima Valley CC, Northern Colorado, and Oregon. In 2014-2015, the Broncos finished 14-4 in the Mountain West Conference which put them in a tie for first place in the conference standings.

In this play, all 5 players are outside of the 3-point line. 5 sprints from the corner as 3 moves to the corner to replace 5. 5 sets a high ball-screen for 1. 1 drives left as 5 rolls to the basket.

1 dribbles out from the right side of the floor off of a side horns screen from 4 and 5. As 1 dribbles towards the top of the key, 5 sets a flare-screen for 4. 1 passes to 4 flaring to the wing for a shot.

1 dribbles right as 4 screens down for 5. 1 passes to 5 at the elbow. Once 5 has the ball, 4 screens for 2. 5 looks to pass to 2 at the rim or to 4 in the corner for a shot.
