Travis Ford Oklahoma State Cowboys Offense
Attached in this playbook are two plays used by Coach Travis Ford. The first play is out of the horns set with post cross options, and the second play incorporates flex action out of a 2-1-2 formation.
Travis Ford Oklahoma State Cowboys Offense – Horns Post Cross
The play starts with 1 dribbling to the right wing and 2 moving in from the corner to set a rear screen for 4. 4 cuts to the basket looking to score. If 4 isn’t open, 2 pops out and 1 passes to 2. 5 screens down for 3 and 2 passes to 3 on the wing. If 3 gets the ball, 5 screens across for 4 who looks to score or post up. If 3 isn’t open, 2 passes back to 1 and 4 screens for 5. 1 looks to pass inside to 5 for the score.
Travis Ford Oklahoma State Cowboys Offense – 2-1-2 Flex
Again, 1 dribbles to the right wing and 5 pops out to the top of the key. 1 passes to 5 who reverses the ball to 3. While this is happening, 4 runs from the corner to the opposite low post to set a flex screen for 2. 3 looks inside to 2, but if he isn’t open looks for 4 cutting up for a shot. If 4 doesn’t have a shot, he passes to 5 who has just popped out to the wing. 2 sets a back-screen for 3 and 4 screens away for 2. 5 looks to pass to 3 at the basket or to 2 for a shot.
