Becky Hammon San Antonio Spurs Summer League Set Play – High Pick and Roll
In this pick & roll play, the point guard starts by dribbling up the right side of the floor. As 1 approaches, 3 moves in below the 3-point line and then cuts off of a screen from 5 just outside the elbow. 3 cuts to the top of the key and looks to get the ball from 1. At the same time, 4 moves in as the trailer into the lane just underneath the left elbow. As soon as 3 gets the ball, 4 waits to see if 3 has a shot. If 3 doesn’t have a shot, 4 steps up to set a high ball-screen for 3 at the top of the key. 5 and 1 clear out to the right side of the floor to make room for the pick & roll. 3 dribbles left looking to shoot or attack off of the dribble. 4 has the middle of the floor to roll or pop for a shot.
