Attached are two set plays from Augustana-Illinois Head Coach Grey Giovanine. In 23 seasons, Giovanine is 420-208 including a 29-2 record this season. In 2014-2015, Augustana went 27-5 making it to the NCAA Division III National Championship game where the Vikings would lose to NCAA Champion Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Before taking over for the Vikings, Giovanine was the head coach at Division 1 Lamar for 6 seasons. He took a program that won 10 games his first season to three straight winning seasons which included 17 wins in his final season with the Cardinals (1998-1999). In 2015-2016, Augustana spent several weeks as the #1 team in the country.

Giovanine used this play to get a wide open layup in the national championship game against Wisconsin-Stevens Point last season. The play starts with 1 giving the ball to 3 on a dribble hand-off then moving to the block. 4 screens for 5 then cuts to the wing. 3 passes to 2. Once 2 has the ball, 5 sets a ball-screen and 2 kicks it out to 3. 3 passes to 4 as 1 sets a back-screen on the roll from 5.

1 passes to 4 cutting up the lane line towards the elbow. Once 4 has the ball, 5 sets a ball-screen at the elbow for 4. 4 drives middle as 5 rolls to the rim. 1 moves to the corner and 2 moves up to the wing. As 4 drives middle, 3 can move up to the wing if x3 helps on the penetration.
