Angola Man Offense by Wes Kosel

This playbook includes 3 man offense plays by the Angola national team. Angola was led by Head Coach Ramon Lopez Suarez and finished second in the 2015 AfroBasket Championships in Tunisia. They started Group Phase on August 20th and faced off against Mozambique, Morocco, and Senegal. Angola won the first two games and lost a close game to Senegal 74-73 giving up 24 points to their own 14 in the 4th quarter. Gorgui Diang had a big night for Senegal in that game scoring 24 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. In the round of 16, Angola won another close game against Central African Republic. Angola then easily handled Egypt 83-63 in the quarterfinals, and beat out Tunisia by seven points in the semi-finals. Angola would lose to Nigeria by 9 points in the championship game despite a strong 4th quarter surge. Historically, Angola has had tremendous success in the AfroBasket Tournament winning 11 golds (more than any other nation). Angola is tied for the most medals with Egypt (both have 17 total medals).
