George Karl NBA Offense by Wes Kosel
George Karl NBA Offense – Man to Man: Box Set Hi/Lo
2 cuts off of a staggered screen from 3 and 4. 5 steps down as if setting a down screen, but instead pops out for a pass from 1 at the elbow. After setting the screen for 2, 3 steps hard to the ball and posts up his defender. 5 looks to make the hi/lo pass to 3. If 3 isn’t open, 5 or 1 can pass to 2 for the shot.
George Karl NBA Offense – SLOB: Stagger Back-Screen
1 passes the ball into 4 then takes a hand-off from 4 and dribbles off of a ball-screen from 5 to the opposite wing. After 4 hands the ball off to 1, he cuts off of a staggered back-screen from 3 and 2. 1 looks to pass to 4 in the post for an easy score. If 4 isn’t open, he steps out to the short corner to open up space in the lane. 5 sets a down screen for 2. 2 cuts to the top of the key. 1 looks to pass to 2 for a shot or to 5 if his man helps on the screen.
