Greg McDermott Creighton Bluejays Box Set Plays: Box 1

In play 1, 2 and 5 start at the elbows, and 3 and 4 start at the blocks. Put your best shooter in the 2 position and your best screeners at the 4 and 5 spots. The play starts with 2 screening down for 3 who cuts to the wing. After setting the screen for 3, 2 cuts through a screen from 4 and 5. As 2 passes the screen, 4 and 5 step together to close the gap and screen 2’s defender following the cut. 1 passes to 2 for a shot on the wing.

Once 2 clears, 5 sets a screen for 3. 1 passes to 3 on the wing then cuts through to the corner. 5 steps up as if flashing to the elbow, but instead screens for 4. 4 (McDermott) reads his defender and either cuts to the elbow or the opposite block.
